CALL ME H

Hola! I’m an Arizona native who loves the desert and its sunshine. I began my career in commercial real estate in AZ, but it really unfolded when I relocated to Santa Monica. My administrative roles evolved into marketing roles and finally into design roles. While living in LA, I went back to school to formally study Graphic Design. I studied at the Art Institute and later opted to pursue Advanced Print & Graphic Communication and Design Communication Arts at UCLA. My education was invaluable and my experience at UCLA really cemented my focus and direction. Along the way, I started my own design company, but ‘company’ is a pretty generous term considering I’m a one-woman show. Technicalities aside, my freelance opportunities have been abundant and have been equally beneficial in terms of exposure and experience. My career path has been unique and unlike many designers, I’ve always worked for large companies and in corporate environments. While I don’t love high heels and collared shirts (I’m an artist after all), I am familiar with the dynamics within those settings. I absolutely love corporate communications, typography, and color theory. And while digital may be the way of the future, I believe there’s a romantic tradition in print and I hope it lives forever.

2016 brought me back to Scottsdale and my little ‘company’ has thrived ever since. I'm always open to freelance projects, but have a full-time gig as well. Currently I design for an advertising agency that specializes in automotive, and we design exclusively for Honda and Acura - from Hawaii to Georgia and everywhere in between. From environmental graphics at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, to billboards along the highway and collaborations with professional sports teams…we really do it all.

Prior to my current role as a Senior Designer, I designed training materials and environmental graphics for major vehicle launch events. My primary clients were Jaguar Land Rover and our only non-automotive client - Sub-Zero Wolf Cove. I've also worked with Alfa Romeo, Toyota, BMW/Mini, Jeep, and many others.

On a personal note, I'm gregarious, funny, ethical, and passionate. I'm fairly laid back and prefer to not take life too seriously. My favorite people in this world are my nephew Dorian and nieces GG and Violet, and I'm insanely in love with my dogs, Lula and Gracie. My parents, my brothers, and my sisters-in-law are my absolute best friends. I love baseball, reading, the outdoors (except that cold white stuff), comedy, animals, eating, traveling, music, and beer.

Go DBacks! Go Bruins!
